These tires, though I had never heard of them, are awesome. Quiet and smooth. Also, very little weight was needed to balance. Would recommend to others and would definately buy again.
Tires only last 30,000 miles. In those 30,000 miles they performed ok. Not great for the snow or pouring rain conditions. Lots of road noise. Fortunately I got them on super sale, since I am replacing them much sooner than expected.
Please read the whole review On snow or ice - these were very very poor, other conditions (dry or wet but no snow) were good. These tires are advertised as All Season, but I live in ND and these would not pull my car through just a few inches of snow. On ice was also extremely slippery, I was spinning out really bad, and stopping distance was extremely long. It is a front wheel drive. The other all season tires on my other cars pulled them through the same conditions (snow) just fine, and were not spinning out on ice, stopping distance was great compared to the Americus. I did not own them long enough to comment on tread wear, I noticed nothing about sound and comfort, so in that regard they are a 4 or a 5, but I would rate them a 0 on snow or ice. In addition, to prove more of my point, I purchased winter tires for the front, and it made a world of difference. I left the Americus on the back to see how they would operate, and when I would make even the slightest of turns, the rear end would spin around a like a top.
84 Miles a day for 6 1/2months on a 08' Honda Fit Sport. After the first six months, they still had about half the tread and went even further than after the tread was near bald. A great buy.
The customer service is subpar. I had so many issues with the delivery of my tires. I set a scheduled time for my tires to be delivered to my garage for installation. It ended up being 2 weeks later and several reroutes due to their staff cancelling the delivery to my garage for some reason. There was ZERO communication from them telling me they were being rerouted to another garage. I had to find out from my mechanic because he noticed they were not delivered when they were supposed to be. When I called to find out where they were, one of their team members canceled the delivery and rerouted it to another garage. THIS HAPPENED 4 TIMES, after myself and my mechanic spoke directly to them telling them to deliver to his location! FINALLY, they were delivered 2 weeks after they were scheduled to be. Every time I spoke to someone on the phone, they couldn't seem to tell me why this happened or where my tires were. They did nothing to expedite the process or to remediate their mistake. I don't know if this was a fluke or if this is how their customer service is all the time. The tires themselves are great. But I will not be using this service again... too much of a hassle.
These are the best value tires that I would put against any major brand in quality and performance
