    Features and Benefits

The SDL Sport can be called a great and value-for-money blend of all-season and performance tires. The tire is suitable for use in dry and wet conditions, and can also be used in light winter weather. The design and engineering make this tire a good fit for performance seekers too and there many great features that contribute to enhancing the driving experience, which are discussed below.

    • Solid year-round performance – The tire features an asymmetric ribbed tread pattern that utilizes an all-season tread compound to offer solid traction performance in dry, wet, and light wintry conditions. Its deep lateral grooves facilitate seamless water and slush channeling to reduce the chances of hydroplaning and improve grip and traction in wet and light snow conditions.
    • Enhanced controllability and comforts – The continuous center rib on the tire’s tread offers improved steering response and ride stability. Additionally, the shoulder tread block pattern of this tire provides confident cornering. The rubber compound and tread pattern are optimized to offer improved driving comforts as they absorb the road vibrations to offer smooth drives.
    • Maximized tread life – Doral has engineered this tire to last longer and offers maximized tread life. The asymmetric ribbed tread pattern of this tire ensures even wear and evenly distributes driving forces to reduce the chances of irregular tread wear.
    • Backed by manufacturer tread life warranty –. The SDL Sport comes with a 45,000 miles limited manufacturer tread life warranty, assuring the buyers complete peace of mind and a great ownership experience.

SimpleTire’s view on Doral SDL Sport tires

    Doral SDL-Sport

If you need an affordable set of year-round performing tires with some traits borrowed from performance and high-performance tires, then the Doral SDL Sport can be one of the top considerations for your drive. The tire offers solid traction and grip in dry conditions and also has a sharp steering response and better handling at higher speeds. As per our SimpleScore analysis, it scores an 8.2 in handling and an 8.0 in traction performance, which is great if you consider the fact that it is sold at a relatively cheaper price tag. That being said, the tire isn’t made for use in extreme winter weather conditions and the traction performance lags on wet surfaces and in the rainy season (as per some of the customer reviews). The brighter side is that it offers long-lasting tread life, which is even proven by its 8.6 SimpleScore for longevity. It is covered by a 45,000 miles limited manufacturer tread life warranty and provides greater ride comfort. However, some customers have reviewed that the tire is a bit noisy.

Dealership put these on because they're so cheap, not made for New England weather. On my all wheel drive CX-30 driving the speed limit I almost spun out and hit a guard rail several times in the snow. Hydroplanes in standing water worse than any tire I've ever used, this thing tries to kill you. The tread life is ridiculously long lasting, probably because the rubber is as hard as a hockey puck: because of this they are bouncy and loud, the ride quality is truly terrible. If you have a cheap economy car and live where it never snows or rains, maybe consider these.

Sorry these tires are trash ... Because of the road noise.... Sounds like I have off road tires on a jeep. Lucky I work from home and don't do that much driving but I need to replace them soon just because of the road noise.

Was skeptical due to the price but they performed well. No issues in wet or snow and they were surprisingly smooth and stable at high speed. Only put about 5k on them before selling the car but I'd buy again for sure.

This tire isn't the best for rain, ice, or snow, but it got me through a New England winter with no major hiccups. I have put about 25k on these tires, and don't know what the previous owner of my car had driven on them, and the tread is still perfectly deep. This is an awesome bang-for-the-buck tire setup.

Surprised the hell out of me. It's as good of a tire as I normally pay $150 each for.

These tires were on my Mustang when I bought it. They were not bought from SimpleTire. There's about 15,000 miles on them. They're "okay" in good driving conditions, but terrible in rain or if there is a heavy dew in the morning. The previous owner said driving in snow was horrifying and part of the reason they were getting rid of the car. I know part of the issue is that Mustangs don't preform well in less-then-ideal driving conditions. I'll be swapping these out ASAP, even though they have a lot of tread left on them. P.S. Still love the SimpleTire.com Dunlops I put on my Focus!
