Those searching for an all-season highway tire that can be driven on back roads or on a daily basis could consider the Nokian One H/T. It can be used for reliable grip throughout the year and is useful for drivers who do not wish to keep changing tires as per season. During our Nokian One H/T review, we found Nokian to offer a 70,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty for this tire, which offers a perfect mix of sustainability and durability. You would be glad to know that Japanese tire major Bridgestone has a 3% share in Nokian.
Features and Benefits
Constant driving across back roads and regular highways with gravel, dirt, and clay requires a suitable tire that can perform year-round. Nokian One H/T has been specially built for such terrains while ensuring safety and sustainability at all times. We were able to experience solid stability, grip, and superior handling on wet roads during our Nokian One H/T tire review. The presence of Aramid Technology enables drivers to overcome obstacles by resisting abrasions and chips from road hazards. In addition, stone ejectors at the bottom of the grooves to protect the tires shows how technically advanced this tire is.
The Nokian One H/T is an all-season tire that remains quiet due to a computer-optimized tread pattern for low noise and high comfort. This aggressive tire shows its prowess by increasing puncture resistance, even on steep inclines and sharp rocks. Very low rolling resistance here ensures high fuel efficiency. If you frequent areas with a lot of potholes, these tires will help your vehicle remain stable.
Pros and Cons
No tire is perfect and you can determine the Nokian One H/T rating on the basis of both pros and cons. More than the current vehicles, this tire is largely common amongst the older light trucks. As all-season tires, the Nokian One H/T offers an excellent mix of low noise, good handling, a forgiving ride, and traction in light snow.
PROS
- Force out rocks and other debris from beneath tires to prevent cuts and chips
- Great stability
- All-season tread pattern for year-round traction
- 70,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty
- Environmentally friendly tires as Nokian has eliminated the use of harmful oils within their tire compounds and CO2 emissions have been drastically reduced
- Strong braking
- Backed by Nokian’s Pothole Protection warranty which allows the tire to be replaced, free of charge, should it be damaged beyond repair. Certain terms and conditions apply to be eligible for this warranty.
CONS
- Cannot be driven at high speeds
- Slightly higher rolling resistance, which decreases fuel efficiency
- More expensive than some competitor’s tires
SimpleTire’s view on Nokian One H/T tires
The Nokian One H/T is a tire that’s built to provide buyers with peace of mind in all conditions. Extensive testing in Finnish conditions means that these tires have proven their reliability in insanely cold weather. The tires have been manufactured with light truck owners in mind and they feature stone ejectors below the grooves that evacuate rocks and other debris to minimize the chances of damage. Aramid Sidewall technology is the latest development to show how tough tire sidewalls can really be and how durable these tires are. If you’re looking to drive on pavements and on several inches of snow, this would not be the best choice.
Even if the tires seem expensive, it’s because of the extensive features described above.
Vehicles the Nokian One H/T is a good replacement tire for
The Nokian One H/T would be a great fit on vehicles like the Nissan Pathfinder, Ford E-150 Econoline, Dodge Dakota, Jeep Cherokee, Honda Pilot, and Ford Explorer.

Wonderful all-round tire
Look like a really nice tire for dry and wet conditions. Only used them for a week so far in snow and ice. In the snow they did alright I would say my grabbers I had on before were better but they wore so fast. Theses seem like a harder tire so on ice they were aweful, it felt like you were driving on skis. Slushy conditions they did alright also. So don't get these tires if you drive on lots of icy roads. Snowy of slushy roads they will be just fine.
I've only been running these tires for about 4 months so I've not had an opportunity to judge their performance year round, or tread wear, but thus far I've been pleased. They're a softer tire than the Michelin Defenders I was running before but that means they ride a little softer so for highway driving that's a plus. They do give a bit more in turns than the stiffer tires I had previously, but they move water away well and grip dry pavement adequately and the savings in purchasing these tires is also a plus. As they are Nokian, I also have no doubt they'll be great winter performers as the snow flies. So far they were an excellent purchase for my '08 F-150.
Excellent tires on dry road but not as good on wet roads.
Reliable on dirt & snow
Reliable on dirt & snow
I needed some good tires for my 01 Chevy Silverado 1500. So after a long online search, i decided to get the Nokian One H/T tires 265/ 75/R16 . As for dry weather the tires handle very well. As for wet weather, these tires handled very well and seemed not at all phased by any rain on the road. I tried to swerve left to right in the rain, but these tires kept their grip on the road for my truck. I haven't had a chance to test these tires in the snow yet though, since i just bought them in the spring of 2023. These tires have a stiffer feeling at first, but it seems to fade with more mileage. I remember when i first had these tires installed , i would feel a stiff like bounce if i hit a bump or pot hole. However, as i said earlier it seems to be fading with more miles. I recommend keeping these tires inflated to the recommended PSI for your specific vehicle for best performance. Nokian One H/T tires have a slight zig zag pattern, maybe to produce better traction in the snow. They are quiet tires, no noise at all. The 3 funny looking symbols on the outside of the tires, don't interfere or take away from the look of my truck. These tires hold air well. The tread pattern on this tire seems to look agressive, but also more different than from any other tire i have ever bought. I mean this all in a good way though. SimpleTire sent my tires very fast by FedEx , in about 2 days after my order was processed, and i received all 4 tires that i ordered, and they were the correct brand, size, and part numbers. All 4 tires had a reasonable manufacturing date on them, 1022/1022/1022/1122. I just ordered these tires a few months ago in 2023, so i was happy about that. I had my tires delivered straight to my house. After i received my tires, SimpleTire emailed me to let me know if i had any problems with my tires, that i could contact them. Overall, i am happy with my Nokian One H/T tires so far. This is my first time ordering through Simpletire, and this is the first set of Nokian H/T tires that i have bought.
