Bought these tires and was real skeptical, but wanted to try them out and that's the price you really couldn't beat it. Had them installed they ride very smooth. Quiet and tread seems to be holding up well after a couple thousand miles. The price on them was half of what brand new tires cost from the big manufacturers. These tires perform just like any other major brand tire wood and they hold up well underload as well. These tires were installed on my three-quarter ton GMC Silverado 2500 needs as well. I'll be installing these on that as well. I paid just over $500 for a complete set ordered them and they shipped to my house the same day and arrived on the same day. My local tire shop installed them for $20 per tire and the company protects them under the roadside service warranty just like any other tire shop would. I give the value versus cost five stars with highly recommend them to anyone else. Looking to put tires on a vehicle. My tire size was 245, 75,17. There was no problem in the rain or sun. I have had to break suddenly with no problems with stopping distance.

Features and Benefits
If you’re looking for a light truck tire that blends value, strength, and reliability, the Otani RK1000 should be on your radar. During the Otani RK1000 tire review, we were able to see strong handling and traction abilities. This tire is also very reliable and smooth on the highway, helping you effortlessly munch up the miles. While the robust construction makes the tire tough, the all-season tread helps it conquer dry, wet, and light winter conditions throughout the year. Here are some of the features and benefits that highlight its value:

- Long tread life- The special tread compound used here is responsible for long tread life, leading to an average longevity SimpleScore of 7.9. Additionally, a 14/32nd-inch tread depth is also helpful in ensuring even wear.
- Available warranty- The tire is backed by a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.

Pros and Cons

SimpleTire’s view on Otani RK1000 tires
The Otani RK1000 is an all-season tire that’s suitable for carrying heavy weights on light trucks and vans for long distances. Therefore, it is natural that the tire must not lose shape while doing so, because of which the tire features robust construction. Those looking for even tread wear will benefit from the RK1000 as it sports a tread depth of 14/32nd inches and this tread depth is the main reason for a high Otani RK1000 rating. You'll be glad to know as a potential customer that this tire comes with a 60,000 mile limited manufacturer warranty. Also, it is more affordable to purchase when compared with Mastercraft Courser HXT and General Grabber HD, thereby offering tremendous value for money. So, if you plan to travel several miles using these tires without worrying too much about the weather and also want to ensure an affordable run, it is hard to see why you wouldn’t buy the Otani RK1000.

Purchased 6 Otani 235/80 17 tires for my 17 RAM 3500 in January of 2023. Mid-July the tires had less than 3000 miles on the since install. I was driving on the highway when I noticed a vibration in the front end and pulled over immediately. The sidewall of the front right tire delaminated, it did not entirely deflate. There was no puncture or other road damage to the tire. After explaining the scenario, providing pictures and attestation from Firestone installer multiple times to SimpleTire for warranty submittal to Otani they offered no partial refund or solution. I would not trust this tire manufacturer and am dissapointed with SimpleTire lack of customer service.
The tires were okay for the 20,000 miles or so, then the belts began separating causing a large bulge in the center of the tire. This made the truck nearly uncontrollable. I had to replace 3 of 4 tires before 30,000 miles.
I've put around 25,000 miles on my rk1000's so far and mostly have had good things to say. I don't off road with the truck much but it does regularly see dirt and does fine there. Nothing to write home about but it gets the job done. In the wet I've recently noticed quite a bit of slip compared to dry conditions where they normally are planted, and in the snow I was sliding around in my F350 loaded to the gills so definitely not for purpose there. They did decently well in south east rain storms and standing water but this coming fall in the northeast and colder water leaves quite a bit to be desired. My only conclusion is the compound in this tire is not well suited for below 50 degrees and its hardness shows up earlier in the wet. It's a fine tire for economy and I've had great tread wear out of them, even running heavy often. Just do not put this tire on any car that will se cold weather with them and never snow or ice, these are a death trap in that condition.
Really nice tire for the money. They balanced well and ride smoothly and quite.
Tires came within like 2-3 days and I've not been disappointed yet. I will definitely reorder these next time.
