I ordered a pair of these tires. One had a mold date that was about two years older than the other. The tread pattern is ever so slightly different, but that's not a problem. The problem is that the older one was round and concentric, and the newer one was more than half a pound out of balance. That was after matching the tire heavy spot to the rim light spot. It had two obvious high spots in the tread. The other obvious problem, is that I ordered 225/95R16. What I actually got was 225/95-16. The difference here is the "R" for RADIAL. For those that doubt, look it up anywhere, or on the Simple Tire "learn" section, "tire buying guide" then "how do I pick the right size tire?" The R is for radial. I ordered these tires specifically because they were supposed to be radials, and I got bias ply tires. The radials evidently do not exist, although to this day, they are still sized as radials on the website. I called Simple Tire to explain that the tires were not radials, and that one of them was not round. They offered a discount/refund, and sent a replacement tire. I was charged $7.26 in tax, and $1.00 for "state fees" for the replacement tire when it was shipped to me, and I never was issued the refund of any kind. So realistically, I just paid a little more, and got a tire that was slightly better, but still not what I ordered. The replacement tire also has a high spot in the tread, and took a lot of weight to balance, but not as much as the previous one. I had to partially deflate the tires to help them run smoother. In addition, I naturally had to pay to have the first two tires installed and balanced, then I paid to have the third tire installed and balanced. So it really ended up costing way more than it should have, especially for poor quality bias ply tires. I really can't see any reason to go through this again, or take a chance of it happening again, with a company that doesn't label tires right, or make things right when they go wrong.
