Founded in 1945 in Japan, Toyo tires came to the US in 1966, and ever since they have been manufacturing all-terrain, UHP tires, and mud-terrain tires for light trucks, CUVs, and SUVs thanks to their innovative product line.
An all-season tire gives your vehicle better-rolling resistance for enhanced fuel economy. The Toyo Proxes ST III tire is an all-season street and sport truck tire designed for CUVs, SUVs, and light trucks and offers a shorter stopping distance in wet conditions plus a 40,000-mile tread life warranty. But is this the right tire for you? Let’s look deeper at this Toyo Proxes ST III review.
Features and Benefits
Living in areas that experience moderate temperatures year-round, makes you worry less about changing tires in every season, that is why an all-season tire suits your needs best as they perform well in dry, wet, and light winter weather conditions and all-season tread makes it possible for these tires to be used all year round.
Let’s take a look at the Toyo Proxes ST III tire review to help us understand all its features and benefits at a glance:
- Better all-season performance: The Proxes ST III has a dynamic directional, all-season tread design that provides a good balance between wet traction, dry handling, and performance-based looks.
- Reduced hydroplaning: Lightning grooves of Proxes ST III enhance traction on slippery roads, preventing hydroplaning.
- Minimal noise: The directional shoulder blocks deliver better braking performance and a quieter ride.
- Solid handling: Multi-wave sipes minimize irregular wear for a smooth, quiet ride and enhance the ride quality. Arrowhead tapers deliver block stiffness resulting in better straight-line driving stability.
You can trust the Toyo Proxes ST III if you want an affordable tire that doesn’t skimp on performance. The tire size ranges from 17 to 24 inches for many of today’s most common pickup trucks and SUVs. Additionally, it is backed by a 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.

Was looking for a tire for my moderately high power F150. I had KO2's before and the truck would spin those tires with ease. These tires still spin but less frequently, have better handling in the corners and will not break free when I do a rolling hit. Surprisingly great performance in the slushy snow.
i have been very impressed. driven close to 3ok, that value was so good im getting a new pair right now. Audi Q7 tuned speedy family car! rain and wet weather outstanding. i went through one winter and to be honest they did fantastic and i was truck guy all prior lived in Wisconsin all my life, i know snow. could be the all wheel drive but its only as good as your tires 40k warranty is seriously worth 1k on 4 tires.
2011 Porsche Cayenne S now on the second set, these wear incredibly well, with rotation going nearly 50k in a 295/35-21. Good for all but the heaviest snow and icy conditions. Towed in a snow storm across northern Nevada (12/22) and they were a little skittish, but otherwise great all weather tires replacing the Pirelli P-Zero summers and Pirelli Scorpion winters.
